A Railway alternative on your own servers

Push-to-deploy on a box you own, with a bill that doesn't move with usage.

What you get moving from Railway

Railway runs your services on its own infrastructure and bills per second of use. Serversinc deploys containers to servers you own, billed per server.

Per server, not per second

£5 a month for three servers, then £2 each. CPU, memory and egress aren't metered.

Machines you own

Import a box you run, or provision one on DigitalOcean or Hetzner with your key.

Many apps, one server

Run as many applications as the server fits. Each one gets its own CPU and memory limits.

Rollback on a failed check

Traffic stays on the old container until the new one passes its health check.

Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB

Provisioned on your server, with users, schemas and grants.

In your bucket

Scheduled database and volume backups to S3, R2, B2 or Spaces.

The bill, side by side

Railway plans are Free, Hobby at $5 a month and Pro at $20 a month, and each fee includes the same amount of usage credit. Usage is billed per second: about $20 per vCPU and $10 per GB of memory a month, $0.15 per GB of volume and $0.05 per GB of egress.

From Railway to Serversinc

Run both side by side. Cut over when the new deploy is green.

  1. 01

    Add a Dockerfile

Serversinc builds from a Dockerfile at the repo root. Railway's build logs show the steps to copy.

  2. 02

    Recreate each service

Provision a server, then add one application per Railway service from the same repo or image. Paste the env vars in bulk.

  3. 03

    Move the data

Provision Postgres, MySQL or MariaDB on the server and import a dump from Railway.

  4. 04

    Deploy, then switch DNS

Deploy, confirm the health check passes, then point the domain at the new server.

Switching from Railway

Bring your first server

£5 a month covers your first three servers. Every server after that adds £2.
