Infrastructure providers
Choose the cloud account and region where Serversinc will create managed servers.
Serversinc can provision servers through supported infrastructure providers. The provider owns the machine and its billing; Serversinc prepares and operates it for your applications.
Choose a provider when you want Serversinc to create the machine for you. If the machine already exists, you don’t need a provider. You can connect the server directly.
What each provider is for
Section titled “What each provider is for”| Provider | Servers | Backups | DNS | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DigitalOcean | Yes | — | — | Provisioning and managing DigitalOcean servers. |
| Hetzner | Yes | — | — | Provisioning and managing Hetzner servers. |
| Cloudflare | — | Yes (R2) | Yes | Managing DNS records and storing backups with R2. |
| S3-compatible storage | — | Yes | — | Storing database and volume backups. |
Backup destinations are configured separately under storage providers. Supported storage targets include AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, and custom S3-compatible endpoints.
Connect a provider
Section titled “Connect a provider”Provider credentials belong to the current organisation.
- Sign in to the provider account that should own the new servers.
- Create credentials with permission to list regions and sizes, create servers, and perform the lifecycle actions you expect Serversinc to manage.
- In Serversinc, open Settings → Providers and add the provider key.
Serversinc masks stored credentials and can’t show them again.
Confirm the provider works
Section titled “Confirm the provider works”Before provisioning, return to Settings → Providers and check that the key has not reported a verification failure. If it has, check the credential’s permissions and whether the provider has restricted it by source address or account scope.
Then provision a server. Regions, sizes, and pricing come from the provider account, not from Serversinc.
